IN THE inaugural game of Copa America 2011, host Argentina will take on Bolivia in a group 'A' game at the Estadio Ciudad da La Plata outside Buenos Aires. Argentina is playing its first world class international game after one year since losing to Germany in the FIFA World Cup quarter-final in South Africa.
Argentina, who won the Copa America championship last time 18 years back in 1993 in Ecuador, will play with the formation of 4-3-3. The Argentinean coach Sergio Batista, who was the member of Argentina 1986 World Cup-winning side, has said Carlos Tevez will play alongside Lionel Messi and Ezequiel Lavezzi in attack in the starting line-up for the Copa America opener against Bolivia.
This game will be Batista's first official competition as Argentina coach. According to Batista's plan Argentina will come to the ground against Bolivia with starting XI including Romero; Zanetti, Burdisso, G. Milito, Rojo; Mascherano, Cambiasso, Banega; Tevez, Messi, Lavezzi.
For the Argentinean side, Barcelona striker Lionel Messi is in top form. In the Europeans league he played a vital role for his club and scored many goals. Carlos Tevez is also a world-class striker. Gabriel Milito is a very good defender and has a skill to be dominant in the back.
Gustavo Quinteros' Bolivia is one of the weakest teams in South America, however, Argentina will still remember its 6-1 defeat in a World Cup qualifier in April 2009 in their last meeting with Bolivia. This team had won the Copa America trophy in 1963.
